Someone, who’s birthday is coming up, said, ‘Let’s dance.’ Fireside Chats is all about shaking the floor beneath you, moving your feet and dancing to the beat. We kick it off with Shovels & Rope’s folky and upbeat tale of tune Birmingham. Originating out of Charleston, SC, this married couple sure knows how to have a good time, both on stage and off. Following it is the Morning Benders > POP ETC and Chromatics with a killer I’m On Fire rendition. If anyone knows me, I’m a big Bruce fan and am thoroughly impressed with this cover, especially since it’s sung by a woman! I seriously want to give a shout out to every band on this playlist, they all bring something dynamic to the mix. Kindness (thanks to Bkerr per Ceelo), Jonquil, Brothertiger, and John Talabot to name a few. And for the birthday gal, almost closing it all out with a deliciously fun beat from Tanlines: Reinfo.
Enjoy.

    P∆R∆DISE IN MØTIØN
There’s not a whole lot to say other than I’m trying to drop more albums than usual. Summer is coming and it’s all about BBQs, playing in the park and dancing! My current passion is Danish dance pop. Love Bahamas, Snoop’s track, and the original Piece of My Heart rendition by Arethra’s sister, Erma. Don’t forget Lower Dens and White Wishes, closer to the bottom of the list as well as Tango with Lions which has a nice introverted tune with In a Bar.

    Louisa
After a lot of second guessing and image searching, I landed on Louisa. While I tried to spell it the gangsta way, I was told ‘Louisa’ is the only way. After a long week, I want to bring some delightful sounds to your weekend plans. As I mentioned last time, I love the Lumineers and they finally released a studio recording of Stubborn Love, so of course, it’s on here. Surf pop is the album. Young Man, Braids, Mansions on the Moon just to name a few. A big shout out to BKrrr for introducing me to Lotus Plaza. We’ve got Beach House’s new track Lazuli, the best 34 seconds. And if you don’t know who Louisa is, ruh roh.

I find this video very interesting. The cultural differences an American advertising exec faces being a part of the advertising world in a world he knows so little about.

    Hotwatch.
Hey friends. Hot new jams make up Hotwatch. A friend had requested the Baywatch font and while it would have been golden, I didn’t have the patience to design it. Luckily, I focused more on the music, which I’m really jamming out to. I know I say this every time, but I think this is the best mix yet! Ha, pay up. Opening track sets the album right off with Tamer Animals followed by Ho Hey by the Lumineers, a new fav band of mine (can’t stop listening). The Wintercoats, Polarsets, & Star Slinger produced some dope tracks. A shout out to @copytyra friend AVAN LAVA, a great dance-my-arse-off tune with It’s Never Over.
Enjoy. Happy Friday. View high resolution
